What’s Your Attachment Style?
Attachment theory, in developmental psychology, is based on the idea that humans are born with a need to form a close emotional bond with a caregiver and that such a bond will develop during the first six months to a year of a child’s life. Initial attachment forms how we see ourselves and the world around us. This learned attachment is then used for the rest of the individual’s life to connect to their family, friends, acquaintances, significant others, and even their future children.
